I have the 2018 Design Building Suite, and have primarily only installed 3dsmax and Backburner from that suite for now. If I click on Backburner Manager.exe or Server.exe to open them, nothing happens. The mouse cursor has a little blue wheel spin for a second, then disappears and.nothing. No notes, no messages, nothing. Right-clicking and opening as an Administrator does nothing different. Backburner Monitor does open but has nothing to connect to or display in its window. I am on a PC, Windows 10 build 1607.

I was just using build 1703 (Creators Update), but uninstalled it/ reverted back as Backburner did not open on that build either. I uninstalled Backburner from the Windows programs install/uninstall route, then reinstalled Backburner, but still nothing. I checked my graphics card and the latest driver is installed.

Just make sure to adjust settings if you have other Autodesk products already installed/working on your machine. Not sure where you got your install files from but I would follow these steps: Download and install per: 1. Clean out your. Set to never notify and if possible disable your Anti-Virus/Malware scanning utilities.

Also the download should occur over a hard wired connection to the Internet and not over WIFI. Access the and follow the download links to your product. Download all of the parts (some applications only have a single part to download) for your product first. Do not continue until all of the parts have fully downloaded. Navigate to your download folder location and extract (double click) part 00100X.sfx.exe (or the single file download).

In a few seconds the extraction will start and prompt you to extract to C: Autodesk. Once the extraction is finished, the installation will automatically start. Follow the installation steps for your product.

At this point you could cancel the installation or create a deployment. Good luck on your installation and report back on your progress. Tried all your steps. Uninstalled via regular Windows 10, downloaded and tried Windows FixIt (which found nothing to uninstall), turned off UAC, turned off antivirus/malware, downloaded via the Virtual Agent, installed only the Backburner software (under 3dsmax, which was already installed). Autodesk's installation dialog box reports that Backburner (and Desktop App) installed correctly. I rebooted, tried to open Backburner Manager and Server and.nothing. The cursor's blue wheel shows up and spins for a short time, then stops and.nothing.

Trying to run as Administrator also does nothing. Backburner Monitor opens up, as it did before, but has nothing to connect to.

I'm using Windows 10, build 1607 (I uninstalled the Creators Update after Backburner did not boot up on it either). To add: I tried installing 3dsmax and Backburner on slave rendering computers. Again, 3dsmax installed correctly and boots up, but Backburner Server does not boot up on any of the slave computers. Further help would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt.
