I got one of these a DVDR/HDD combined with one Freeview tuner (an Argos return) at a good price a week ago. However, I am not surprised many of these have been returned as they are very complex to use, and I bet many people have given up on them in frustration blaming a poor user manual (which I do not agree with myself). What's more the HDD (or is it the DVDR) spins up periodically at random in standby, which I feel must have put some people off too!

It has taken me a week to get the hang of it, but now I have, I am pleased I did as it works well and does what it says on the tin in all respects. I would be interested to know if anyone can provide any technical information? For example is Vestel the manufacturer, if so is it perhaps a T806/810/816/ 825? Are there any firmware or software updates available?
